It’s been 6 weeks since PSL set off to Sarpsborg in Norway. In this time, a lot of construction has taken place on some brand new Self Storage units. We’ve carried out the design and build of a number of different elements to the centre such as a suspended ceiling, a mezzanine floor, fire protection, partitioning units, external cladding and other essentials such as column casing and fascia installation.
During this period, PSL had to reconfigure the design of the Self Storage units due to unforeseen circumstances, such as the awkward shape of the building, to which none of this was a problem for us. We were able to construct and redesign the partitioning units so that they met the client’s specifications and even with the ceiling of the building being 2 different height levels, we still managed to build a suspended ceiling to protect the Mezzanine flooring against fire damage.
Our client has been greatly impressed by the progress of the Self Storage units and has expressed happiness with the quality and standard of construction, all to the delight of PSL. The expected time of completion for this project is in 2 weeks time and we’ve enjoyed working in Norway so much that the client has asked us to come back to build a 2nd phase on the current building and to also start work on a new project as soon as our client acquires a new building.
